Interesting item. Never seen anything like this before.

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Has a naval feel to it.
I really can't help and not sure if there will be many replies to this given that it is so unique. Hopefully there is someone here who can.
I have taken the liberty to change the title of your thread to be more descriptive and hopefully draw the attention of anyone that might be able to help.
Do you have photos of the backside of the item?

Saint-Chamond Walk Around Page 1
This walk around clearly shows a very similar badge on the side of the st chamond tank. I won’t comment on authenticity but to me it does look pretty old
Hello Everyone,
I found the following photos of St. Chamond Tank on the internet, unfortunately not my area of expertise
photo of the inside of the Factory
A group of St. Chamond Tanks lined up
Machine gunner inside the St Chamond Tank
Gun Crew and driver inside the tank
close up of the main armament
A Modern Replica of the St Chamond
Best wishes
