These have always been highly collectable and sought-after. Even back in the 1960s they were expensive ; I'd love to have the one of Beatty holding the shell ( even though it doesn't actually look much like him ).....
I have seen some of these sell at work over the years. But I always placed them in the general ceramics sale as they did better in that than in the specialist militaria sales.

yes correct, that is what they are.
When I was a child (back in the early '70 ties)and getting some British pounds from my aunt, for cleaning and preparing the potatoes at theyr fish and chips shop I would run as fast as possible to the next door antique shop to buy some stuff.
And I remember seeing lots of Toby jugs, even the military one's.
But allways prefering a German spike helmet or a thing with a swas on it over them jugs....
I should have taken the jugs, then.... :-)
