Thought i would share this pretty neat tea cup i got at an antiques fair today for £8.

A pretty cool teacup (didnt think I would ever type that sentence ) depicting the flags of the United Kingdom , Japanese empire, Belgium and France and a double headed eagle coat of arms for Russia. The paint on this has remained intact very well. There is also a little poem on the back which I thought was quite nice.

It makes for a nice display piece on my shelf. Quite a thought too think just two decades later the Japanese empire became our enemy, must of been awkward to have this on display during ww2 then!

Not actually a match but has the flags of the early war allies.

This teapot is a closer match in terms of the design and is also 1914 dated.
