Hello again,
I purchased this from the Collector's Guild about a year ago. It is a beautiful piece, and I'll try to provide more pics soon. Enjoy.

Nice. Cotton?
I've been meaning to get a US WW1 uniform one day.

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I believe it's wool. I'll check back in later to confirm. CG's still got a few good sets available for purchase. I'm just waiting on a few new uniforms to arrive from in the meantime.
That is very nice and in great condition to boot.
Are there any names or numbers associated with this blouse?
And since you have become a member here, is there any chance of getting a name? Not to say NOTTHEFACE isn't a good username that does bring a smile to my Face. But it is nice to get the personal/comradery relationship that this site shares

Unfortunately, no names that I could find (other than a manufacturer's tag telling me not to boil the uniform). And the name's James.
I think it looks like a cotton weave...I don't study these so not sure.
I will get one some day. Really want one from the Rainbow Division as their camp (Camp Mills) in the US was in my hometown ( I still live in the town). In fact my parents house was built over it and their monument was a few hundred feet from my house. I would pass it every day walking to school as a kid. My town is also restoring the monument to commemorate the 100th anniversary and it was highlighted in this weeks local paper....The ceremony is taking place tomorrow but I will be away
And yes we like names...James (yup...it rhymes...)

Fair enough. The 42nd did a hell of a job in WW1 and WW2. Keep looking, and you may find one yet.
Welcome to the site James.I look forward to more interactions and your showing of your goodies during your stay.
