A well used example of the cap badge used by Other Ranks in WW1. Sadly the lug for fitting the badge to the cap has broken off.

Here is another example of an Other Ranks RE cap badge, but this one has had the fittings removed and a broach pin added to make it into a "sweetheart item" to enable it to be worn on civilian clothes by a wife or sweetheart
