Article about: I've just purchased what appears to be a British, Victorian dress sword. Can anyone help me identify this? I cannot find any markings on the blade.

    Could be a diplomatic court sword ...

    I believe it is a court sword but regimental rather than diplomatic judging by the knot.

    I think this knot is appropriate for General Officer's swords (1831 to 1945), or Hussars (1831-1883), but can't be 100% sure.
