Can anyone please help me identify origin country for this dog tag ?

This is a French ID bracelet I have in my collection. Alexandre Cailhol was awarded the Croix de Guerre in 1915 - which I also have.

The blood group appears only from the WW2
I think that it is a dog tag of replacement..... not official

The French did not use round dog tags. I wonder if it could be early USA. The setup is a bit similar to this
