WW 1 Stereo photo - Are there German glass positive stereo photo's

Hi everyone,

A few years ago I visited a small museum near Ieper. It was situated at the German lines and in the garden the German trenches were preserved. The view over the Ieper Saillant was shocking. Everything on the English site was visible. In the garden (trenches I even found a piece of shrapnel from a granate.

Anyway in this museum was a beautiful collectors collection made of stuff found around the farm (now museum). Collected by the great grandfather and following generations of the owner, I suppose.

I found there a stereo photo apparatus with battlefield photo's of WW1. I was blown away by the quality and realistic hardcore photo's. No feeble minded people in those days.

I came across a viewer from the same period and could't resist it. It's still in the mail together with two glass positives I bought.

Check it out. I found French photo's but no German glass positives or cards. Maybe one of you knows a dealer or collector of these stereoplates.
