Hi everyone,

I came across this nice looking WW1 AEF Doughboy with gravel camo. Any thoughts about it originality?

I wouldn't call it camo, it's just a helmet that was refurbished. It looks fine to me.

This style of refurbishing is WWI era.

You were told wrong, unless whoever said that meant m1917 helmets that were refurbished and converted into m1917a1 helmets.
