WW1 British Navy Cap ?

Article about: Hello What are your thoughts on this Cap? I was thinking British? The buttons are marked on the back( wien ?) I can not make out the rest. Possibly civilian? Thank you very much Tony

    Doesn't look British to me , what is the company name on the back of the button ? may help with id ing the cap

    Hard to read the buttons, all I can make out is ( 14 Wien)?
    Hard to get a good pic of the buttons without breaking the thread.

    It doesn't look at all like a British Naval cap. But the best clue is the button itself, the crown above the anchor is no British King's or Queen's crown and looks more German Imperial and "Wien" on the back surely is Vienna.

    Crown is not the type that would be used by the Imperial German Navy. But does look like an Austrian type.
