    Default WW1 ramrod pair?

    Hello all,

Of all people, my neighbor came by the other day with these in hand. He said he removed them from an old trunk found in a barn. Did I assemble them correctly, what exactly are they and what type of weapon would these be used on? Any idea of the country of origin?

Any information and opinions would be greatly appreciated; I know nothing about them.

    thank you!

Came back with this and I believe I see an "APO" on the label address to Beardstown, IL along with from what I've researched 1912 issued US postage stamps so I am guessing WW1 era.
