WW1 RFC Wings ?

What are your thoughts on these wings?

* No maker marks
*It seems the majority of these were cloth. Not much I could find on the wings.

I think I've read somewhere that such badges were made to mount onto photograph frames or pictures frames rather than for use on uniform. I've got an RFC wings badge somewhere in the collection but it doesn't have prongs like this. I will see if I can find it and post if its of interest.

Found mine, I think it’s a sweetheart brooch, pictures attached
