I was gifted a lot of 16 old postcards in a old envelope labelled "WW1 Ships" by a family friend who saved them from being thrown away while cleaning an estate, The envelope is dated 12/12/54. Most of the postcard are old ARA ship postcards but the most interesting one was this one regarding the infamous shooting down of Schütte-Lanz 11 on September 2nd of 1916 by Lieutenant Leefe Robinson earning him the Victoria Cross.
I found it interesting the postcard was phrased "Zepp in flames IN London" as opposed to Zepp in flames OVER or NEAR London.
I normally dont collect allot of old postcards and so I am not particularly knowledgable on these so any information regarding this postcard is most welcome.
