Description: Hello all,
Here's your chance to pick up a very special item. While outside the normal realm of militaria, one cannot dispute that in historical terms these items are just as imporant as any other insignia produced by Germany during the reign of the Third Reich. Here we have a Dutch Star of David produced during the German occupation of Holland. This is a period worn example and still has a piece of original thread sewn into the reverse edge, a remnant of at one time being sewn to a jacket. Not including the folded edges, the star measures 3-11/16" wide. There is natural soiling to the face, while the folded edges are much brighter as they were not exposed to the elements. A truly remarkable relic and an easily recognizable symbol of the era. I am sure if this piece could talk it would tell a terribly sad story.
