Opinions on this trench knife

Hi All. Just wanting opinions on this knife is it original as after viewing this thread

WW1 Gottlieb Hammesfahr trench knife?

I am wondering if it is an Indian copy? The handle grooves run toward the blade edge and the stud on the scabbard is missing the flower design also.

The example you post is bad, bad, bad and yes looks to be the same Indian made fake as the example shown in the sticky tread "Fake Alert; WW1 Gottieb Hammersfahr trench knife".

This knife may only be a few months or years old. It has been aged to deceive, make no mistake about that. Sold new it's worth about US$60.

For ease of comparison, see the real Gottieb Hammersfahr photo below. How many red flags can you see on the fake one now?
