In answer to your question if the tunic is an early one the most likely sleeve diamond to have been removed from this tunic would be a signal blitz. In 1935 Himmler ordered that the wearing of specialist insignia on both the collar and the sleeve was to be discontinued. The diamonds (motoring and signals) were to be removed.

Are the tunics in this thread one and the same? It looks like the tunic in the last post showing Peter has a signals diamond on the right arm or is it just a glitch in the photo?

Yes sir, the tunic which started this topic is the same and is in my possession. I saw the tunic back then when this picture was taken and there was no diamond on the sleeves.
Only the shadow of one on the left sleeve.

I see it very clear in the picture as well. Are you saying that someone Photoshoped it in there? I just saw the question and then the answer and Iam very curious.
    Thanks!

Kriss I took the photos at Ciney militaria in 2011 . The photos have never been photoshoped and the diamond was placed on the sleeve as shown on the image .Congratulations for the tunic !

Thank you very much Notton for the pictures.
I was in Suisse the whole week and could not see the last pictures you posted in this topic on my cellphone.
I cannot remember the raut when I saw the tunic back then but then, I also didn't inspect the tunic closely either.
Now I know what to look after then.

Can you remember if it was a cloth or a bullion insignia?
