Mint unissued AN-H-15 flying helmet

Hello fellow tragics
Well, I'm pretty pleased - having stumbled upon a poorly described auction piece that sold ( to me ) for a bargain basement price!
I wasn't looking - but you know the drill, sometimes the time to buy is when the opportunity presents itself!

So we have a basically unused original AN-H-15 lightweight summer flight helmet made by the Bates Shoe company.The AN-H-15 helmet was introduced as the standard summer or light weight for the Army Air Force and Navy on April 23, 1943. It replaced the Type A-9 flying helmet and was the first flying helmet designed under the joint Army/Navy procurement program.






These are the auction photos but now ( of course ) I will need to find the other kit to go with it....sigh

Nice pick up. The auction photo has the receivers on it, but not the photo you show of what you got. Those are available, but you would want it complete to start.
