I have already seen this cap somewhere, just don't know if it was on the forum or elsewhere - wizardman, as you are a paying member, have a look in the authentic visor section, the Peküro-maker thread, whether there was such an interior (perhaps you can even find this very cap).

The piping is made of marcella - the only other specimen I know of where this was done is one of F.-B.'s black ss-caps, so it WAS done, for what reasons ever, but it was very rarely done. The colour of the centerband and the visor/peak with the peculiar ageing are issues I see, but it could be a late(r) war Peküro.

I am looking forward to the specialists' opinion.

P.S.: just happened to find another Peküro F.-B. thought to be an original with marcella piping here: https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/attac...44_resized.jpg
    so they did exist!

Ive still got a bad feeling about this one. The IR17 on an unissued cap for a start. All together this one doesnt add up for me, id say a good attempt but i have a feeling on this.

Was researching it for a bit last night and didn't find anything conclusive but Ive only seen this version of the Logo used on non military visors. I'm probably wrong....

Still scratching my head on this. When I'm not sure...I tend to think the worst.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Ive seen the septum IR 17 on WW2 Visors, but i just cant help thinking something is wrong with this hat. I just cant pinpoint it.

Visor itself is a mid-war Pekuro, and original.
    TK also appears original.
Eagle may be resewn, and could be covering up signs of the original eagle's holes.

Any empty holes in the lining behind the eagle?
Do the prongs of the TK go thru the lining?

Thanks Stonemint, unfortunately i havent seen this in person, a young guy sent me the pics. Ive asked for more but he hast got them yet. I just thought it strange to have an IR skull on what looks like an unissued Visor, i thought they may have replaced the eagle to that bullion one to give it spacing for the skull, as a post war embellishment. ill try and get more pics of if the prongs go through. Thanks again everyone, esp Stonemint, you know your stuff mate

Wiz, the only way to be 100% sure on these is for the hat to be marked to a Braunschweig distributor.
