USAAF Officer's Tropical Visor for Review!
Article about: I picked up this visor at the Allentown show to pair with my dairy of a 2nd Lt., B-24 bombardier who served in the 13th Air Force in the South Pacific. Although it definitely shows some age,

Hi Joe. Check the back of the badge for a makers mark.
Sometimes they are not marked at all, but quality
US insignia usually is - It's very 'new' looking.
The stiffener in the rim makes it look different - more
like the USMC stlye of cap.........
this is not a usmc cap knox made caps in ww2 crushers and visor caps as the one pictured the knox company started in 1838 and their factory which w as in NYC was closed in the late 1940's so this being a knox cap makes it good knox caps where very popular and even omar bradleys visor was made by knox !! this crusher in my opinion is 100 percent original !!

Re: USAAF Officer's Tropical Visor for Review!
If it was a Marine Corps Officer Barracks cover(Hat) it would have a quatrefoil on the top of it.
Thats a nice setup Joe

Re: USAAF Officer's Tropical Visor for Review!
I wasn't suggesting that the above hat that Joe posted was or
is a Marine Corps visor, just that the Eagle looked 'new'.
- It's my other buddy that has a strange one !
Perhaps the bright lighting makes the eagle appear
too shiny, similar to later types.........
