Another Danziger Skull

I took the advice of my fellow collectors and gave the skull a light cleaning with a soft toothbrush and applied a layer of petroleum jelly. I'm not sure you can see a difference but I did notice a couple of spots where the compromised metal had succumbed to the zinc pest and deterioarted.

I took out the skull collection on a beautiful sunny day after weeks of rain to do a proper photo shoot. I took pictures in natural light in the shade and the sun to show the variations of patina and finish. I hope you enjoy.

I picked up a few more skulls to the detriment of my bank account. I will post them in detail when they arrive. In the meantime here is one of them from the website photo's. This is the same type as the last one I listed as a set. It is a silver plated tombac type example in a nicely worn condition.

Here is another one like the "zinc pest" skull I recently posted. This one is in much nicer condition with a lot of the finish remaining.

The last one is a different variety I did not own prior to this one. I promised FB to refrain from using "cute" or "childish" names on these skulls, but I can only describe it as the type with an upturned grin or smile, for a lack of a better description.

I will post them all in a group when they arrive

As promised, here are the pictures of the skulls that arrived today. The silver patina is more visible on this one than I thought, based on the website photo's. Now I have two examples of this skull.
