Wartime boots were always brown leather.

look like more modern from the 70s
60/ 70 jump boots... As has been said, wartime boots are brown, marines you really need boondockers!
As said, brown was used by paratroops. I like these, though I have a black pair I wear regularly I believe they were made by Corcoran, with a steel shank in the sole and reinforced leather toe.
Also, I noticed the laces are barred on yours nice touch.
Here's a description. The brown pair on the left are made by Corcoran and the pair on the right are Goodrich and worn with leggings:

what you can do, is strip the black off and redo them brown??!! have seen this done before to great results
