Someone inherited it or cleared out the former owner's home and wasn't interested in keeping it-not everyone's interested in the Nazi stuff or militaria in general!

Lithgow got it right! For a number of reasons, people throw out this stuff all the time. Maybe they don’t know they have it, or they can’t be bothered to care. I’ve also noticed that some people can’t handle taboo items like this and throw it out in a panic once they discover it in their attic, basement, or garage.

Hey gang, I’m back and working for my family again this summer! I’ve only been at it for two weeks and I’ve already made some finds.

Finds include: pre WWII unit yard long, WWII USMC bolo knife/ murder weapon, and a 1943 dated 30.06 ammo crate. I’ll try to get some photos up soon.

I know what you mean about being destroyed, I'm a burner in a scrap yard here in Pa. and over the years when I go into our wharehouse I've seen things come in too late for me to save,e.g. about four years ago I went down to our wharehouse to warm up and one of our customers brought in oxygen tanks for a ball turret gunner chopped up with a sawzall.

If these scrappers knew what they were scrapping they would be pissed, getting pennies for a German helmet
