Hi Horst, really nice dagger, I've never seen one like that. First time I have seen the swastika so small on a dagger. I couldn't help but notice. Is that an acorn on the leather frog? I have an NCO sword made by Eichorn which has the squirrel and acorns on it. I was told that Eichorn means squirrel in German. I don't think Eichorn made frogs so it's probably just a decoration. Do you have any ideas on that.
Take care,
Jay
Jay - The small Swaz as you call it ,is part of the standard DJ emblem as to the acorn its part of the upper scabbard fitting and is referred to as the carrying hook/stud.The leather Frog was the device that allowed you to attach the dagger to the hanger or belt. The frog was not part of the dagger and usually made be a leather producer not the dagger maker.
Hope this helps.

Hi Horst, I looked at the picture again and can see it now. I did know the difference between the scabbard and the frog, I just didn't look at the picture close enough. I really like that DJ emblem. Thank you sir!
Jay - your more than welcome -
