Today we will see a photograph of a veteran Officer (The photograph is not clear enough to distinguish his exact graduation) on which I have placed a triple ribbon bar with the Cross of Friedrich August, II Class of 1914, of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg (Friedrich August Kreuz 1914, Gross Herzogtum Oldenburg) equal to that of photography.
Shoulder strap and collar patch indicates the rank of this man.
There does not seem to be much doubt that the central ribbon of the ribbon bar is the Cross of Friedrich August, 2nd Class of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg, because he also bears on the jacket of the uniform the Cross of Friedrich August, 1st Class.
Oldenburg was a German Grand Duchy (Grossherzogtum Oldenburg) located on the German North Sea coast, at the mouth of the Wesser. Its current population is about 165,000 inhabitants and belongs to the federal state of Lower Saxony.
Hi Gentlemen.
A new ribbon bar that I always wanted in my collection. This is a triple ribbon bar with the Friedrichsorden, Knight's Cross with swords from Kingdom of Württemberg (Württemberg Friedrichsorden, Ritterkreuz mit Schwertern).
This is the ribbon bar of a German military veteran of the First World War who fought in the Württemberg regiments of the Imperial Army, decorated by the Empire with the Iron Cross and by the Kingdom of Württemberg with the Friedrichsorden. The ribbon bar was set up from 1934, as it has third place, the Hindemburg Cross for combatants (with swords).
Below is an example of the full-size medal group
By the way it is the first purchase I have made to the forum sponsor, Helmut Weitze Militaria, from Hamburg.
The treatment has been very efficient and the service very professional, therefore I consider it highly recommended.
Best regards.
Santi

Santi,
That is a great ribbon bar. Do you also own the fullsized bar?
You need the button hole mini to go with your bar.
BTW- I've bought from Weitz a couple of times with excellent results.

Hi Greg!
Unfortunately I am not the owner of the fullsized bar. (It is an image that I found on the internet, to illustrate the post)
I love your button hole mini, it is wonderful. In general they are usually small works of art of jewelry.
Please Greg, you and any other "Imperial" feel free to upload any image to the thread, that is exactly what makes any thread improve.
Best regards.
Santi
