Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
I like them
cheers,

They are all post war copies... but actual Signatures... I own 6 different ones of Adolf Galland... I'm sure he signed a great deal up untill his death... on the back of some of them,he has his actual address and phone number.
Actually 2 of them are wartime postcards signed post war.. I assume.

Galland is one of the most common signatures he will have signed thousands of photos but then again he was one of the most photographed RKT's so hundereds of different shots of him were available for signing, the variety makes them very collectable !!

Which is the rarest signature ?
Nick
"In all my years as a soldier, I have never seen men fight so hard." - SS Obergruppenfuhrer Wilhelm Bittrich - Arnhem
Thats a difficult one Nick , many would think it would be a well know personality or high ranker etc but in the signature collecting world it comes down to those who have only signed very few photos and in general do not reply to collectors and are not interested in relating their wartime experience !! As i say well known personalities such as Galland , Gunther Rall , Erich Topp, Otto Kumm etc etc have signed thousands of photos but how many people have heard of Karl-Heinz Boska ?? An SS Panzer RKT whose signature has been notoriously difficult to obtain and is considered amongst collectors to be rare !!
Of course the really rare ones are those of RKT's who were killed in action and only signed during the war , the collecting of signed RKT photos was quite popular amongst youngsters especially HJ as they were of course the superstars of the day !! Fritz Witt is a good example !
cheers
Paul
