Hi Fran, this photo you posted in #155 intrigued me a little.



Researching the movies advertised on the billboard at the back shows this:

Yankee Doodle Dandy - UK premiere London 15th October 1942
I Married An Angel - USA release July 1942 (UK unknown)
Talk About Jacqueline - UK release 30 November 1942
Secret Mission - UK release 5 October 1942

So the earliest the photo could be taken looks to be December 1942, but the weather here seems mild so more likely it is spring /summer 1943, somewhere in the UK, possibly Scotland.

(and I've really enjoyed reading about your discoveries.)
