Hello Volv ..what happened to the blade on both sides?
It takes away the depth of perception of the motto.

The rest of the dagger is good. What is that on the blade ?

Looks like the blade was dipped in something or just heavily cleaned,took all the shine and motto darkening off.But it looks like an original dagger.
Thank you for the replies, the blade was that way when he bought it so we wont really know what happened to it. Thank you for confirming my thoughts on originality.
