    Hello,

    nice typical Rodo buckle .

    But where is the color ? Must be cleaned anytime ?

    Or it is even nickel plated ?

    IMO a late war buckle what normaly green/ darkblue paintet . Never seen bevor a Nickel platet RODO.

    I honestly don't know the buckle is in mint condition with the rbnr belt also mint I 'll try to post more photos, perhaps a version made for parade?

    Hello. I found a old thread on WAF were JP said there is no proof of any silver painted RODO buckles. I think this would also go for plating . I would go with JP's opinion on anything to do with SS buckles.

    For me an original buckle that has been plated, I have never known a silver plated buckle like this before

    Maybe a small product serie from Robert Dold or nickel plated by the owner for private use but as you can see the set was never used, post war nickel plated What for ? no interest thing to do
