Default SOS Acquisition. Heer M35 former DD.

With the heads up from real steel that this will be the Helmet Doctor's last SOS, I made sure to swing by his tables with money in my pocket. Walked away with this named Heer EF 66 former DD. Not a high dollar helmet at all by the standards of this forum, but I like its character a lot. National decal was scraped per regulations. Hard to read the lot # due to the name painted in the skirt, but I it appears to be "21416" (?) There are also two dates scratched in the skirt, both 1943, with an additional word I cannot make out. Also on the side of the skirt in small characters is another name and some additional letters (abbreviation) scratched in it. All in a Germanic handwriting. I'll do a closer look later and see what I can determine. Liner is a size 58 with one torn finger and the draw string is missing. I cannot make out the liner band stampings and didn't want to apply the prying force it seems will be required to get a good look. Chin strap is stamped "Lago Wien" for Vienna consortium.

    Hey friend !
Great meeting you there. Yes...possibly the last year for the helmet Doc. He sold many. Was "slim pickings" late Sat. He was taking every offer thrown at him just to get rid of them.
Your helmet is fine. As Leon said..."Well balanced" & a desirable size
